What are the costs of the bags and does this include tax?

Tuesdays with Maura
Full Bag: (10 entrees plus comfort containers) including tax: $139.95
Half Bag: (5 entrees plus comfort containers) including tax: $79.95

Transition Point Thursday
Full Bag: (12 entrees) including tax: $199.90
Half Bag: (6 entrees) including tax: $99.90

Senior Selections

Full Bag (10 entrees plus comfort containers) including tax $110.00

Half Bag (5 entrees plus comfort containers) including tax $60.00

How do I pay for this?

We accept checks or cash only. Payment can be given to the driver at the time of delivery or mailed to our office, if you are purchasing a gift for someone. If you will not be home at the time of delivery, you may leave the payment for the driver and the driver will leave your food. Please let us know where the check will be so we can let the driver know. During warm weather, if you will not be home, we ask that you place a cooler outside your door to maintain the freshness of your meals.

Checks should be made payable to Chef Maura, Inc. Please note in the "memo" section of your check the date and last name of recipient. For example: "memo: meals for Phipps, 2/19/04"

Are deliveries limited to the Richmond, VA metro area.?

If you are uncertain whether you are in our delivery area, please call or e-mail. We deliver North to Mechanicsville, West to Short Pump, South to Chesterfield, and East to the airport. Click here to download a map.

Should I tip the driver?

This is certainly appreciated by them, but not expected!

Can I leave my order on the answering machine?

Yes. Please be sure to speak clearly and slowly. Repeating the information is always helpful. We need the recipient’s name, address (including the zip code) and their phone number. A cell phone number or work number is helpful, also. If you are ordering for someone else as a gift, please include your contact information as well. When we receive your message, we will add the order to the route immediately and call you back to confirm everything.

When I order online, how will I know if my order went through?

If all of the necessary information was filled out, you should receive a confirmation via email shortly after placing your order. If you do not receive this confirmation, then your order did not reach us. It may be safe to call the office and check with us at this point.

What should I do with my leftover Glad Ware containers?

We will "gladly" take the accumulating Glad Ware containers off your hands if you would like. Just give them to your delivery driver the next time we drop by. You are welcome to keep them for your own use or recycle them.

Are your meals compatible for Vegetarians?

We have researched this option and unfortunately, the demand for full vegetarian orders does not prove to be cost effective for this program.

What if I have special diet restrictions?

For specific food allergies Maura will do her best to rearrange selections of the current week’s menu. Please make a note of your specific food allergies in your online order or call us and we will prepare your bag accordingly.

Special Note: It may not be possible to accommodate every special request. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause, and invite you to keep watching the weekly menus for a combination better suited to your needs!

If I have plans or my schedule is chaotic, can I make arrangements to receive my food before 5:30pm?

With prior notice and sufficient quantities of orders, we can deliver to your office in the afternoon, for either “Tuesdays With Maura” or “Low Carb Thursdays” between the hours of 2:30 and 5:00pm. We will only be able to do this if: 1. More than 3 people in your office sign up for a delivery that day OR 2. We are already delivering to an office or home nearby. Call us to discuss. Will I be rewarded if I refer people to Chef Maura?

Absolutely! We keep a close eye on the "referral" section of our online order forms. The client who gives the most referrals each month (meaning an actual order is placed) will receive a week’s worth of free meals. Tell your friends to make sure to list you by name as the referral when they order.
